Delivery of Button Boards began yesterday! If you want one delivered to your business or need more information, please call us at 352-357-3434. We are still accepting donations for the Button Drawing prizes. Help us showcase businesses in Eustis and the surrounding areas by donating a product or gift certificate. Be sure to include a business card and related information with your donation to encourage repeat business from the winner. Please call Bonnie at the Chamber for more information.
Next Thursday is the GeorgeFest Kick Off Breakfast so don't wait any longer if you want to compete in the GWBF Table Decorating Contest. The forms are posted on the web site and can be faxed to us at 357-1392. Set-up must be completed between 4 PM and 8 PM on Wednesday, February 8th. If you decide to compete, remember that each person must still RSVP for the meal and pay for the breakfast.
Posters and flyers for the Dog Jog were delivered on Monday. The next step is to distribute the materials and get a copy of the form uploaded to the web site as soon as possible.
This Thursday, February 2nd, is the Business After Hours at Florida Hospital Waterman. The event is open to the public and attendees will have the opportunity to get a first-hand look at the new MRI scanner. The after hours will be held from 5 - 7 PM at 1000 Waterman Way in Tavares. Please use the main entrance. RSVP by calling the Chamber no later than noon on Wednesday, February 1st.

- Thursday, February 2nd - Business After Hours sponsored by Florida Hospital Waterman, 1000 Waterman Way in Tavares. 5 - 7 PM.
- Thursday, February 9th - Monthly Member Breakfast, "Kick Off to GeorgeFest 2012" sponsored by The Daily Commercial. 7:15 AM at the Community Center. 601 Northshore Drive.
- Sunday, February 19th - Harlem Ambassadors Basketball Game at Eustis High School, 1300 E. Washington Avenue. Advanced sale tickets are $5 for children 12 and under and $10 for adults. Tickets at the door will cost $7 and $12 respectively. Call the Chamber to buy your tickets today: 352-357-3434.
- Monday, February 20th - VIP Reception By Invitation Only. 5:30 - 7:30 at the Community Center.
- Wednesday, February 22nd - Carnival opens in Ferran Park at 5:30 PM.
- Thursday, February 23rd - Business After Hours sponsored by Ultimate Leads & Breakfast Club. RSVP will be required.
- Friday through Sunday (February 24th - 26th) - 110th Annual GeorgeFest Celebration. Theme: Made in America. Check the web site for the agenda. The special supplement from The Daily Commercial will be coming soon!
Raffle tickets for the Dwight Howard autographed basketball are on sale now at the Chamber. The chance to win this collectible piece of sports history costs $5 for one ticket or $25 for 6. The drawing will be held at the end of the GWBF Button Drawing activity on Sunday, February 26th. You need not be present to win.
Don't forget the chamber services if you need copies made for advertising inserts,presentation materials, or any type of handout. Our prices are competitive and turn around times are great. Prices for members are: $0.39 per page for FULL COLOR and $0.06 per page for Black/White. Most orders can be completed & readied for pick-up within the same business day. Bay Street Players will have a special encore presentation for one night only of Love Letters. Tickets for the February 14th show can be purchased at the box office. Contact 352-357-7777.
Eustis Historical Museum Preservation Society will host its 2nd Annual Artisan Market on Saturday, March 17th from 10 AM - 4 PM. Admission for the public is free. Artisans wishing to reserve a space for $25 should contact Tim Totten at 352-242-8111. Early registration begins March 1st.
Florida Hospital Waterman is hosting a presentation "Is Everyone a Candidate for Off Pump Bypass Surgery?" on February 9th at 4 PM. It will be held at FHW Team Rooms I & II on the 3rd Floor of the medical building. RSVP required. Call 352-253-3388.
